Regional Reports:

Regional Director's report / Julia: after workshop last year there was a lot of criticism about communication, Julia started a website for the region and the regional email list to keep everyone updated.  Thanks for the support at regionals this weekend.

The jackets that Ann Pomeroy did are fantastic, and at Nationals there were12 people showing and there were lots of people wearing their jackets showing support for the region and the members showing. It was awesome. Mike Hamilton commented at the GBM how great it was to see such a cohesive region. Mention of members that all showed at Nationals.

Problems with having trials and seminars on the same weekends, asked that we try not to schedule things on the same weekends.   Addressed Rene’s concern over some of Greater New Orleans stuff not showing up on the USA website. $700 from last year was spent going to National and Regional club events and other misc expenses Discussion of judges for national events, including our own Carla Griffith.

Assistant Regional Director / Hilde's report:

Workshop was great. Trophy was not awarded last year at the workshop to the club with the highest overall score. We need to figure out where the trophy is.

Breed Warden Report / Rita (absent, but sent written report Julia read it.)

Three conformation shows and two breed surveys. Al McGraw and Randall Hoadley to be commended. It would be nice to see more interest in breeding and showing in the area. Rita is available to help.

Helper Programs / Danny:

Randall was made teacher helper in the region. Did the helper seminar again at nationals. national helper committee submitted a program to USA for rating helpers, which will be similar to the existing program for the region. The hope is to motivate new helpers to replace the aging helpers.
